While not at all representative of my current skills, it's fun to look back at my very first video projects from when I went through the broadcasting program at Western Illinois University from 2001-2003.
When Clowns Attack
The video that began it all. This was a project was a collaborative effort from myself and several other people in the Intro to Broadcasting class. Bizarre and horribly edited...yet entertaining. When Clowns Attack has become a WIU Broadcasting cult classic.
Tanner Hall Ghost
Story about the supposed hauntings in Tanner Hall, one of the dorms on campus. This piece aired Halloween 2002. Perhaps the best story I put together in college, it won me 3rd Place Outstanding Videography from the Illinois News Broadcasters Association.
Paranormal Investigation at Simpkins Hall
Our "paranormal investigation" of WIU's Simpkins Hall. Somehow we convinced campus security to let us in the building at midnight and let us stay the night by ourselves. Unfortunately, a bunch of the footage was lost, but this is what I put together with the remaining footage. We didn't have any real supernatural experiences while there, but it was still a fun shoot!
Spirit in the Sky
Commercial for a local business that we created for a copy writing class.
Newscast Intros
Intros that we created for WWIR's "Live at Five" newscast.
"Core"
Music video that we produced for local band Mileu.
News Videography
Other stories I shot and edited during my time in the News Videography class. Spring 2002.
News Reporting
Other stories that I worked on in my News Reporting class. Fall 2002.
Independent Study
Some other projects for our Independent Study class. Spring 2003.
